METROLINK

Metrolink is Southern California’s regional passenger rail system operating in six counties across the region.  Metrolink serves the campus with two local stations.

The Downtown Riverside Station operates three rail lines and has a direction connection to UCR’s campus via RTA Route 1.  The Riverside Hunter Park Station serves one rail line and
has a direct connection to UCR via RTA Route 56.

Metrolink offers all students a 50% discount.  Tickets can be purchased via the Metrolink app or any ticket machine located at the stations.  When purchasing a ticket, just select the Student/Youth rider type.  Students must carry their valid student ID and present it to a fare inspector upon request.

Riverside and San Bernardino County residents can try Metrolink for free!  Join IE Commuter’s Free Metrolink Pass Program for up to 90 days of free Metrolink passes to use for work or play!  It’s easy to do, just sign up for an account, download the Metrolink app and look for your ticket.  The program is offered through IE Commuter, a program of the Riverside County Transportation Commission and San Bernardino County Transportation Authority
